August 1st 2011 to obtaining ration and LPG cylinders Aadhaar card
compulsory. In the circular, the chief rationing officer, appealed to
people in the twin cities to enrol themselves at their nearest Aadhaar
centre to avoid inconvenience. For the list of Aadhaar centers and their
contact numbers, people can visit the civil supplies website, www.apcivilsupplies.gov.in or www.aadhaar.ap.gov.in.
Aadhaar
applications can be obtained at fair price shops, gas distribution
agencies, circle offices and Aadhaar centers. Civil supply department
officials said that either the Aadhaar enrolment receipt or the Aadhaar
number has to be produced when obtaining ration from next month. The
department is also looking for retired employees who can be roped in for
the Aadhaar enrolment for which they will be suitably compensated.
